All Quilting stalled

Feb. 1, 2013 is here and I have accomplished nothing in about 2 weeks. I have been dealing with my dog newly diagnosed with diabetes. I am still getting adjusted. The shock is past but the problem I deal with each day is that he objects to his shots. I swear I am not that bad at it. He acts like he doesn't feel it part of the time....and others he immediately squirms and pulls away from me.
  I have pieced the rest of the large 10 minutes batik blocks but I don't have them pressed, trimmed, turned back etc. I am saying that I really didn't do much. I think it is leading to my state of funk. My sleep is screwed up. I spent the first few days just trying to watch Bruno for signs of low sugar. I am more relaxed about that and his levels were low according to his blood tests but there wasn't a time that he was in trouble from it.

January 17th Catch up

I'm not sure where the time went. I am playing catch up. I am trying to accomplish something. I had signed up months ago for a class on Amazon Star quilts. I bought the pattern package. I was looking forward to it. I ended up not attending the class. I didn't have enough of the fabrics I wanted. I didn't feel I was prepared to take the class. I am going to be gathering up a few more fabrics and will attempt to do it on my own. I am disappointed about the whole thing. I might end up making a Glacier Star too. I have looked online for photos and have seen some awesome quilts.

I've been slightly AWOL. I am trying to get 2 quilts finished for xmas. I am working slowly. I had a problem with my Tin Lizzie again and managed to fix it. The needle up/down button didn't work. family and life got in the way of a few things. I am slowly trying out some kids apps and will be looking at the safety stuff for kids. I have to do that soon as one of the tablets goes to my 9 year old godson.

Android app download sites Free

I am going to add sites that are good for app downloads  and note the ones that are free.
I am still learning my way around those but there are a couple things to know. The free ones have ads that can be a problem. Some are really not noticable but others just suck! Some apps are free on Amazon and not on Google and or just not there. Each app store seems to vary and have specials of free to download for the day...like Amazon does.

Android device must

This is a bit of info of serious importance to me. Adobe flash player app was pulled from the market. It is needed for tablets and phones and probably installed on some...at the point I redid (erased/wiped) my Kindle Fire, I added a little Mario game app. I could not play it cause I needed the flash player. This is a problem for a lot of people. I managed to download the app from a tech site. It won't be needed on the newest android system from what I read. The Jelly Bean (newest) appears to be capable on its own. This seriously affects video of sorts on these devices.

Emerson E543 Tablet 4.3" Tech Tips

I am just learning my way around in the tablet. The parent company is Southern Telecom http://southerntelecom.com They appear to make tablets for Emerson, Polaroid., Slick, Sharper Image, Bell & Howell, etc.  This info is from the Southern Telecom site and from the next site is a tech site that gave part of the info.

Emerson Tablet apps

This is the start of a list for what apps work, apps that don't work and games that work. I will add to this as I try apps. I will add a bit of info with them. Apps in red are factory installs. I did consider the factory ones nice.
*I am working on several things for uses the tablet should do. Looking at video/movie and scanning bar codes and will post those
** A bit of importance for kids to use a tablet: there is a nice kids place app that is controlled by the parents and password applied so that they can only get to the stuff deemed safe

Amazon app store... download apps (may want to use Amazon gift card) NOTE: update ruined mine and I had to redo it to get it to work again. Had a blank screen
FBReader ...BOOKREADER
Coolreader..this is for books to be read to you. It needs help to sound nicer. Use the next app with it.
The Assistant...love this one. It is like Siri. must be online. You can change her appearance.
Evernote...had to be online, sign up to run it first time
Utube...for videos on Utube
OfficeSuite5 ...wants you to register but can use it with register later
FILE manager is an absolute must to search thru the files and the external micro sd card
Androzip for zipped files
Antivirus free... this doesn't bog down the tablets
Accuweather for android

Pentas..kind of reverse tetris.

Temple Run...I like it myself. Man running from chimps

Super Androix works ok ..is it a Mario type game but looks like the scubbing bubbles guy

kitten Vs. Zombie *it says based on device hardware ..it selected on screen pad* nice
grundge is only free cat..not bad for a child..or extremely bored grown up

Ugly Bird jump might be nice for child...young child but a ball of string is as exciting

New: The Lost City... cool for an app. It is a point and click type like the old Shadowgate game and is a free app of the day.

Angry birds and Angry Birds Seasons are nice. I like the second one best

*Magic Academy: Hidden Castle is nice and has a Harry Potter feel to it. It is a find an object game

Mad Race...seem to need keypad to use it
