I was able to piece the second mug rug the same evening. This is with the bands cut into one more piece than the first mug rug with the darker maroon color.
Thanks for the compliment! I am hoping to quilt them soon. It was easier than I thought it would be. I have shied away from smaller work but intend to make a bunch of mug rugs for all seasons. I need to finish the large one of the pink and gray too.
This is so pretty! I've always been intrigued by bargello quilts and think a mug rug is a perfect way to try one.
